Your car is new, so to prevent swirls, I would take it to a touchless carwash.
The loudest (most vibrating/jolting), most vigorous one you can find.
Treat yourself,.....to the the long luxurious wash. The Works.
I'll bet your snake will come flying out of hiding like the great sea kracken.
Hahah no harm in trying and it could already use a bath to make it all shiny again. I'll give it a go in the morning after trying the passive mode tonight.
Did you make the bottle trap the right way?? There's no way a mouse should be able to get out of it, no matter how small the mouse is. You cut the top off a bottle, like at the shoulder of the bottle, and put it back in, with the mouth of the bottle inside, and tape it like that. So it stays together.
As do I. I'm just worried about temperature now. We're supposed to have our first freeze tonight, it's already pretty chilly out there.
As for the bottle trap. This is what I made and the mouse got right out of it. Put a f/t in there and hopefully Cassi will be hungry tonight. *crosses my fingers*
Went to the car this morning to find a bunch of cold hand warmers, empty hides, masking tape traps lying around the car and a mouse still in its bottle.
We didn't have a freeze last night but it did get down to about 35 degrees F. Really hoping she didn't freeze. Does anyone know the lowest temperature corns can endure for an extended period? Will she just go into brumination and if I can keep the car above freezing she'll be fine?
No sign, but I don't really know what sort of sign I might see. She might poop again, but otherwise she's clean and shed about two and a half weeks ago. So I can't think of anything that she might leave that would make a track.
Ah, nothing. But, I also only had about 10 little tape triangles around the car. I went out tonight and laid down strips of masking tape everywhere that I could. So, if she moves around in the cabin or the trunk at all tonight, I'll know! Here's hoping for some results in the morning.
ummmmmm if you take the car to the car wash and she's to close to something hot or electrical then couldn't she die...If noise does make the snake come out can I suggest this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHqfgT4XVpsbut remember be safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!If you do this right it is quite loud
Hahah bombing her out sounds like a blast. I guess I could put it under the car... I tried techno with lots of bass last night but it didn't make her stir even though the entire car was vibrating (I love my new car!). Granted also none of the traps I put out have been disturbed. So I really don't know if she's even still in there. I still have lots of hope certainly, but just don't know.
