So i come to see my corn which been doing good on the past 2 weeks i have him , he has not eaten from me, and today i found him mouth open dead. What happend, i am really sad. Temp were always great, he was sometimes very active, i dont know really confused, and he was a hatchling btw.

Sorry for your loss.
It is hard to tell what may have gone wrong. Maybe someone more experienced can give you some ideas, but unfortunately sometimes it just happens.
Do you know if he was a good eater before you got him?

Sorry to hear it- I never know what to say when this happens to people. If you decide to get another one it might be better to get an adult snake, hatchlings can have more things go wrong. Since you only had it two weeks it is likely that there was already something going on with it rather than you doing anything wrong.

thats exactly what happened to my snowcorn August 1st(i had him for 3 months). The temps were good, he always ate great for me and everything. Then one day when i went to feed him, he wouldnt eat but i just thought it was cuz he was gonna shed soon, so i decided to try again in a day or two, but the next day, i checked on him, he seemed really i dunno just didnt look normal, then 30 mins later when i checked on him, he was dead and like yours, hes mouth was open and it was really upsetting...I was told that it could have been something that happened in the egg and that not all babies are ment to live...it took me 2 months to decide to get another one(just got her friday)

im really sorry for your loss :(

You know sad stuff happens. And with living things we can't always know why.

My first cornsnake struggled. She regurged her first 2 meals. I followed protocol and got her back on track. Then she became anorexic and would eat nothing for several weeks. Followed recommended protocol on that. I became desperate and readied to assist feed her. But, I didn't have to because she ate voluntarily, suprising me. She ate well for several more meals. Then her appetite became sporadic again. When she first arrived she weighed 13 grams. When she died a year later she weighed 15 grams.

Recently I got another cornsnake. Another hatchling. And it is night and day. This one eats with vigor, is active, digesting well and passing normal feces. The primary difference between this new corn and my first is the research I did before hand; and secondarily that he comes from a different source. I asked more questions of this breeder because I had a better idea of what to ask. As much as I wanted him, if this snake would have had any problems I would not have bought him.

Some heartbreak and disappointment in life is expected. We don't have to volunteer for more than the minimum.

Wow, I am sorry to hear that. I have had a few snakes die on me too, it was pretty rough, they were little baby ball pythons, they just refused to eat, I took them to the vet and did everything in my power to get them back on track but it just wasn't meant to be. I hope that you're future experiences will be much better.
