When the snakes slit the eggs and poke their noses out it's called 'pipping', and they are called 'pippies'. Anerythristic is shortened to anery, amelanistic is amel, hypomelanistic is hypo, lavendar is lav, motley is mot......that's all I can think of right now!

Pip = Hatchling
Viv = Vivarium
F/T = Frozen Thawed (mice/rats/hamsters)
Brain = Cut open the skull of the F/T and allow some brain to come out
Cull = Kill/Freeze to death
WIR = Week In Review (a member makes a thread reviewing important parts of the previous week, this is done each week here)
Munson Plan = A feeding plan created by Roy Munson, easy to follow, great guidelines to how much to feed your snake when, based on the weight of your snake and the prey items.
Blue = Is often used to represent a snake in shed, ie: "my snake is going through her first blue"
DIY = Do it Yourself
1.2.0 = 1 male 2 female 0 sex unknown
1.1 = would then mean 1 male 1 female, if there are no unknowns then it is often left out
R.O. = Reverse Okeetee
C.C. = Candycane
Amel = Amelanism/Amelanistic/Albino (means with out black pigment)
Anery(Anery Type A) = Anerythrism/Melanistic/Anerythristic/Black Albino (means lacks all red and most yellow pigments)
Anery(Anery Type B) = Anerythrism/Melanistic/Anerythristic/Black Albino/Charcoal (means lacks all red and generally all yellow pigments)
Blood(s) = Bloodreds
Lav = Lavenders (very light snake with purplish tones)
Hypo = Hypomelanistic/Hypomelanism(means a reduction not removal of black pigment)
Hypo Lav = Hypomelanistic Lavender

Hey Robbie great additions.... :idea: how do we go about getting all of this put together and on a sticky maybe in the Introductions area for all newcomers.... of course once others put in more input...this just seems like a great info thread...I know I could have really used this when I joined...it would have made reading and learning so much easier!!!

Bump basically means you're posting so that the whole thread goes back to the top of the new posts list (aka "bumping" it to the top).

Great idea to make it a sticky!
We should let it run a while, and "bump" it now and then for more input. And then ask a mod to make it a sticky. That would be a great help for newcomers. And if anyone has one question on terms, we can point him / her to the sticky so that they will be totally overwhelmed with terms, lol!
