Sticking To The Ceiling
Decided now...
Well, I thought about it, and until I learn how fast my corn is gonna grow on fuzzies (she's only 3 months and around 15in in length), I'll buy from the store. Once I get to a bigger size that takes longer to digest and such, I'll order from the Big Cheese. Cheapest I've found thus far.
Or I might decide to raise my own feeders, depending on circumstances and such when I decide for certain.
 I want more, but I don't think we have the spa-- well, that's not true. If I had snakes in breeder racks and such, I could probably house 100 of them. Thing is, the family room we have is an add-on to the house and isn't very well isolated (there are holes where the wall and floor connect big enough to let rats in); it doesn't even have actual windows. *shudder*
That's the first thing I'm dealing with when my dad dies (who's 67 and already had a stroke); I'm spending however much money I have to to make that family room and breeze way liveable!
I definitely wanna get a male at some point, maybe a charcoal. My classic morph is a female, and I wouldn't mind occasionally breeding her when she's older if I had a nice male. And then I'd have babies to feed too!
I'm starting to see what people are saying, especially since I have a cat who'd perhaps like a mouse if my snake got to the next size. Someone also mentioned that I should maybe wait until my corn's eating something like weanlings or hoppers, since with fuzzies starting *hopefully* tomorrow, she'll probably be growing fast.
Come to think of it, we have way too many theatres here, and even an IMAX being built.
I need better cleaning supplies than what my mom buys, that's for sure.
BAAAAW, I hate children! D:
If I get gloves, and it's summer.
There actually aren't many dogs around my area...
I thank you for your suggestions. I may be able to do a few, but an actual job at a building will have to wait until another birthday. Or I bother to try for a job permit. :headbang:
I have REALLY considered that, but I don't think we have the space for that. We might for one pair, though, and that's all I'd need. Hmmm.
I'm actually not very fond of Craigslist; I never get any replies from someone local no matter what I post there. I will consider both options though. Breeding my own may be very fun.
I don't have a real good sense of smell, so you can cross 'stink' off the list.

Problem is you simply need more Snakes! then with more snakes you will need more feeders. Then you will have the need to order bulk and the shipping will not seem so bad, lol!!!. I have 65 snakes, and just got my order of 1,800 dead rodents for $320 plus $ 100.00 for shipping...couldn't imagine the total cost if I bought those 1,800 rodents at a pet store.
Hurry!!!! get more snakes!! lol!!

Wade never mentioned anything about money...he said hassle. Riding bikes and walking are great exercise activities...but if you don't have to go to the pet store every week with $3 for a single pinky...I would consider that an improvement to the current situation.
Order them online in bulk, and if you throw away half of them from freezer burn, like Wade said, you are still ahead of the game. Maybe your mom can front you the cash for the mice. How is she with math? A piece of paper and pencil will quickly show the cost savings.
At $3 per pinky, the online order is 1/4 the cost.
Remember, at The Mouse Factory, I pay $70 for 100 mice (shipped). Locally, you would pay $300 for 100 mice, and have to walk miles upon miles to make it happen.
There are cheaper mouse options online, but I can't recommend any of them. I have only used The Mouse Factory. Lots of people here who have used many different mouse breeders talk highly of The Mouse Factory. They tend to have a higher quality product from what I have read (hear-say).

There arent any movie theatres in Nevada?
Or even any toilets that need scrubbing?
Or children that need watching?
Grass that needs mowing?
Dogs that need walking?

I don't know if it has been mentioned in this thread, but if you don't like shipping costs, there is another way. I, most of the time, breed my own feeders. Recently I have been having a bit of bad luck doing this. My freezer where I kept the majority of my frozen stock, crapped out. Two of my colonies began cannibalizing their babies and a few colonies went on winter breeding hiatus. I have been a little short on feeding stock. So I began buying rodents from Rodentpro.
I too, didn't like the shipping prices. Breeding your own is soooo much cheaper. So I went on Craigslist and placed an ad, looking for someone in my area to split the shipping cost with me. I got two takers. Since I made the query, I found out what they wanted, I paid for the order and shipping to my house. That way if one of them backed out, I had the feeders in hand and could either use them or sell them to recoup my monies. Fortunately, that didn't happen.
So what turned out to be over $50 in shipping, was split three ways and I only paid about $17 plus the cost of my feeders. I ordered over 400 feeder animals and I am happy as a pig in sh**.......... a shed. The two guys that placed the order with me are equally as happy and can't wait to do it again.
Just a thought!

A note about breeding your own, you trade the cost of shipping or putting money in a petshops pocket for extra work and stink, just a thought.
I had too much trouble keeping enough mice from my 4 trios for 3 snakes, just 3!!! Gave up processed all the mice I had then ordered a bunch from Rodentpro. Might try another place when I need more, I have a notebook I use to keep track of experiences with stuff I use and put a review of my experiences so far in it about rodentpro. After I have actually fed some of the new mice I will share my review (still have a couple meals each snake from my home raised).
