Hey guys i had my snow motley out today ... She is roughly 2 years of age ... She had a shed on july 16 and ate a full fuzzy on july 16 .... I left her alone for 5 days didnt handle her just cleaned her cage... Well when i put her back in her cage she was going across my hand and i felt a strange lump im gonna say around her ( private area) and when i went to go reexamine the area she jumped and struck at me ..... No contact was made but i immediately let her go and left her alone .... Im not even sure if she is actually a female...... To my knowledge she has never been paired with another snake ?? Whats going on ??

the lump felt down by the vent, particularly on the body side might be a build up of fecal and urate matter. I don't observe this as commonly in my colubrids, or at least not as noticeably. It is very obvious in my green tree pythons and it a very strong indicator that a given snake will be having a BM soon.

Lol well then lmfao i guess thats a good thing ... Got any ideas in how to fix my humidity levels ??

I agree, she's probably ready to poop soon. Your humidity levels seem pretty good as long as there's no mold or condensation and you know there's airflow, I wouldn't worry.

right there with Rigby & Marcy...no mold or condensation and you're good.

MANY MANY MANY many many maaaannnny people stress over humidity. It really is a non-issue so long as not overdone or underdone. If you're using an analog humidity gauge, they're about as good at reading humidity as a 2 y.o. kid is at reading Shakespeare. If you elect to use/keep a humidity gauge, either analog or digital (preferred) within the cage then you should be shooting for 40-60%.

I personally alleviate the humidity issue by using a moist, or humid, hide. It can be as simple as an empty butter tub with a 1-inch (~2.5cm for metric users) in the lid and filled half way with dampened coconut fiber (coco coir, eco-earth, tropical soil, forest bed, etc.). You'll just have to keep an eye for if the snake defecates in the moist hide, as to avoid potential non-beneficial bacteria, mold, or fungus growth from occurring. But the hide is 2-fold in that it will aid in helping keep the snake hydrated, as well as a secure location for the snake to have peace of mind.

Well i honestly dont mist or anything i have the zoo med bedding , she has her rock hide , and she has a paper towel role that i have diagonally across her uth that she uses very regularly.... And no there is no mould , no condensation..... And i watched her tonight enter her big water bowel and put her head under the water n swim around !!! Also i watched her climb the vine i have in there and squish herself in the lip of the lid ???

I agree with this.
Leave it be unless there's a shed problem, and if in that case, add a humid hide.

Almost all of the time, as long as they have clean water access, they should be fine.
