Containers for feeding your Corns in

Alex Dew

Corn and Bp Lover
Hey all

I know a lot of you feed your corns in little containers instead of feeding them in their vivs.
I was just wandering if you could post some PICS of these feeding containers telling me what size they are and what size the snake is which feeds in there.

Thanks

Alex

p.s. lots of pics would be good, lol, thanks.

Just use small deli cups with a tight fitting lid. The snake needn't have much room to eat. I use a wadded paper towel as well so they feel more secure.

I can't post a pic, but I use the paper bags you can get from super markets. A 54" corn is fine in it. ;)

Shoebox, smaller tub, round gladware tub, small mealworm container. My largest guys around 3-1/2 ft are good in the shoebox container. Basically as long as they fit in the container and still are able to move.

OK thanks all.:)

BTW I have 2 corns living together in a 3ft viv and they both eat on the same day. So i put them in seperate containers and feed them. I normal leave them for about 45min after thay have eaten till i put them back together again in their viv. Do you think 45min is long enough???

The male on is 3ft and the female in 27inchs.

Thanks

Alex

yep

in that amount of time, they should have the mouse down the hatch and be settled in. I wouldn't worry about cannabilism in corns as big as yours, it seems to be a hatchling phenomenon.

But I'd be slack not to suggest getting a new home for of them one when you can.

Preferably before breeding season. The female is a little small to risk carrying eggs. (and yes, they can/will breed without 'your permission')
