I've wondered for a while why red factor snows are everywhere, but no one seems to have tried red factor with charcoal rather than anery. Did charcoal prevent its expression or is this just another case of charcoal being overlooked?
So I bred my ultramel charcoal motley (who turned out het for anery) to a coral snow stripe. I kept back a male coral snow motley-stripe het charcoal. I decided to pair him to my pewter het amel female (who also turned out to be het for anery). Only got 3 eggs, but but the first one out was clearly red factor, and at minimum a blizzard. I snapped this picture after he (hemipenes visible in tail) launched out of the egg box, so he does still need to shed as well. I'll get more pictures after he sheds and eats.
