Corn Isle boa arboreal feeding behaviour.

Tula_Montage

It's Jager time!
In his older age Beaux is becoming more and more arboreal, choosing to spend most of his time sitting on his shelf, cruising his branches and waiting perched in the hope a tasty morsel scoots on by... He even copies the chondros and wiggles his tail around hoping to lure something in. If anyone has ever handled a Corn Isle before and played with their tail you will have noticed how agile and wiggly it actually is. They seem to use it far more than other BCI's and locales I have kept.

Somebody feed me...

A few hours later on and he is out for the count sleeping off his mooses on his hot shelf! Notice the colour change to light olive now he is fed and warm.

Hogs seem to be quite arboreal as well huh! They also have the wiggly tails (that they don't like being touched!)

Hah thats awesome! my hog does the same thing! He gets dark and desaturated when hungry, gets his snack then richens up and snuggles in his warm hide! Beautiful snake! <3

Thanks! Beaux pretty much stays medium light olive to VERY dark rich brows these days, with his peach and orange highlights of course. Although again in his older age his colour is not quite as chameleon like as it was when he was a baby.

He is very rainbowy. It is a word. Oh so shineh!

This is actually Clem :( But it shows that Corn Isles generally are very iridescent. She was such a beautiful girl...
