again, not 100% on the breed, so any help would be much appreciated :D

i will post pics as i take them, shes a lil camera shy atm but im sure i can get her to love it :p

Awe so precious!

The only way to know for sure is if you know the genetics of the parents. If one parent was a Creamsicle (half rat snake/half corn) then the babies are Creamsicles (hybrid snake).

If the guy at the shop is only guessing by the color, then you will never know for sure and it would just be an Amelanistic corn snake.

What ever she is she sure is a cutie! Congratualtions!!! :)

yeah shes got it around her smaller spots and on her belly too, her belly is checked, part white part clear-like, looks awsome, hope it sticks :p

It looks more like a standard amel than a creamsicle. The problem with creamsicles is if they just have a little bit of Emory's Rat Snake in them, they look like regular amel corns. It seems that people haved moved away from the 50% corn/50% Emory Rat Snake cross which was orginally used to create a faded orage (creamsicle-colored) snake. Therefore, you will not be able to tell for sure what your snake is by looking at it or posting pics.

You see this is where im stuxk, these pics are not really the best to show her colouring etc. but she has same markings as the creamsicle you have pictured, is there any kind of specialist that could take a look at her pics and tell with distinctive things that she could have if shes a creamsicle?

Markings don't matter. The two snakes that are combined to make a creamsicle - Emory's Rat Snake and Corn Snake have the same markings. The idea behind a creamsicle is a pale orange snake.

If a snake had 1% Emory's Rat Snake and 99% Corn Snake, it would sill be a creamsicle, despite looking exactly like a Corn Snake. This is why no one will be able to tell you for sure what your snake is. You need to know the animal's complete genetic history in order to do that.

So im best off asking the shop owner i bought it from then? Not sure if he was the one who bred her though, thanks for all your help :)

That may work, however, many store owners do not disclose where they get their snakes. When I got my male snow, the store owner would only tell me that he came from a local breeder in town.

Hutchie, your snake has too much white in it. It should be more yellowish, like Tim said.

When creamsicles were first made, they were 50% emoryi and 50% guttatus and they looked like creamsicle ice cream. That's what a creamsicle should look like. Ones that look like perfectly normal amel corns shouldn't be called creamsicles, imho, whether they have any emoryi in them or not.

thought id give you guys a quick update on Cornetto, shes shed for the 2nd time and another very successful one! :D im a happy guy, was told by a few on one of my posts that it could take 10-14 days for her to shed.. and didnt expect it but it ended up being 5 or 6! was amazed when i checked in and saw this skin strung along the bottom of her viv :)

anyways, some photo updates taken yesterday.. around 24 hours after shed

Very very nice! I still love that white on Cornetto's head! it looks so cool, like they said it looks almost plastic!

I love the missing color on her head.. Very cool.. And creamsicles can and do look like yours sometimes. But the only way to know for sure is to know the parentage. If there is ANY emoryi blood in your snake then yes it is considered a creamsicle.

Any amelanistic corn snake that has any amount of Emoryi blood in it should always be labeled as a creamsicle OR corn x rat hybrid. This is how we keep the bloodlines as clean as possible. Any corn with emoryi in it should never be sold as just a plain amel corn. Creamsicle means amelanistic corn X emoryi rat hybrid.. Just as Rootbeer is used for a classic emoryi corn hybrid. Creamsicles vary greatly in their appearance regardless of the amount of emoryi blood they have in them.
