I am planing on getting a corn snake but first i am making sure i know everything i will need to know. First how do you know what size to feed the corn snakes? Also i know this is the feeding part but i saw on youtube that a guy said you can not just use a heat pad, that you have to have a heat light also. Can you just hava a heat pad?

You want to make sure the mouse is 1-1.5x the width of the body. Not too big, but big enough to leave a bulge in their belly for about 24 hours. If you have a digital scale, you can also check out The Munson Plan. It's THE feeding plan that most people on this forum follow.
You can have just a heat pad.

okay thanks, also what kind of substrate should i have? should i have a certin typer of bedding or just paper towles or what? what wold you recamend?

Paper towels are great for hatchlings. Most people keep on aspen, but there's all types of bedding available, and people have had different success rates with each. Aspen is the most highly recommended, but coconut is also pretty good, I just prefer the look of cypress.

thats cool, what other snakes

boas (2 dumerils, 2 redtails, 1 solomon island ground), ratsnakes (1 bairdi, 1 japanese), 1 king snake (ruby-eyed lavender albino california), ball pythons (2 normals), 1 black racer, and 1 burmese python.
Oh, and a bearded dragon. But he's a lizard, so he doesn't count. LOL
