Cornsnake vs Hairless Rat!!!

My beautiful hairless ninja rat Gardenia got very curious when she saw my other beautiful pet, a corn snake named Jasmine. I guess she bit my poor snake and the snake struck her as well. My poor snake was in "attack" mode trying to strike at me and a sock for a minute or so after that. So they both bit eachother on the head, but the rats teeth are much bigger and left a bigger wound. It wasn't bleeding and it didn't look too terrible but I am concerned. Any tips on how I can take care of my snakes wound?

Ninja rat survived too and is very active and playful, if anyone was concerned.

I'm concerned as to why you had both predator and prey that close to each other.

(I understand it's not a feeder but your pet, the statement still stands)

I love my snake and I didn't intentionally put them together. The snake was in her feeding area and she escaped while the rats were out playing.
It's their home too. :)
We didn't want to see them fight, we're just reporting a little accident that happened today and will not happen again.
Speaking of rats, I think they're on the prowl.

Then you need a better feeding container.

Personally, I don't take one animal out while I already have another out. If my roommate's rats are hanging out with her, I won't take a snake into the living room. It's just something which begs for disaster.

Personally my snakes are nowhere near any of my animals. You can be very grateful your snake wasn't killed and possibly eaten. Not even my big snake would stand a chance against an adult rat.

I really hope the wound doesn't get infect and kill your snake.

Whoa that sounds scary!
My rats have playtime on the sofa in the livingroom every night. I don't let them out while feeding is going on. But I can certainly understand how your mishap happened!

I hope both your babies are ok!
