I haven't had an escape from this brand of cage, yet. I have kept babies as small as 7g with no problems. This is the cage sold at Petsmart and Petco.

I had an escape from a 20-L Critter Cage: I wasn't in the habit of pinning/locking the lid to the lip on the cage and I may not have pushed the lid all the way into place, or the snake may have been able to push a corner open. I still think they're a good choice, but I now always pin them shut.
 
As Glass Cages go. These are the best. I own 4 of them and I love them. I am now slowly placing everything into racks but still this is by far the best cage for snakes.

When I slide the lid in, I lift both sides to make sure they are engaged, then I listen for the click, then I pull back to make sure it is latched.

I thought I had an escape once, but Jasper had hidden in the blind limb of that blasted fake tree...
 
I use that tank, and for my needs it works very well. The click does get rather annoying, and if you set anything on the screen and try to open or close it it makes an annoying sound.

Stinks that at my local petsmart they cost $60 :uhoh:

Did you not read the thread?? The click lets you know that its locked. This is the best part of the cage..

The sound is less annoying than your posts.

I know what the click means, and I did read the thread, and actually, as annoying as the lcik gets, I agree that it is the best feature of the tank. :)
