Has anyone ever used crushed walnut shell as a substrate or temporarily for display? I think it is manufactured by ESU, and sold under the name "Desert Blend Lizard Litter."
I normally use aspen in the deli cups when I take hatchlings to shows, but many of the snakes will burrow which makes it difficult to view (and sell) them. I was thinking about putting a layer of the Lizard Litter in the deli cups instead, but it seems like it might be an abrasive product. Can anyone confirm or deny that? They'd only be on the substrate for the weekend....
The other problem is that my display is at a slight incline, and the lizard litter might all slide to one corner of the deli cups. That wouldn't look so great either. I see that Rich sells his deli cup liners...
Thanks,
Ronda
