Crush's Progression Thread

Yellow Finger Tips= Smoker
Short finer nails= Out of smokes, must revert to old bad habit...lol

Forgive my disgusting fingers :)

Lol I like that first picture. He seems like he is thinking "do you SERIOUSLY have to document this??"
Thanks for the pics! I can't wait to try this tomorrow.

Hahaha I love that first shot! I just thought I'd throw it out here, but I read that it's not advisable to try to pop a corn that is over 20"... This may be wrong information, so I urge anyone to correct me if I am wrong.

I'm not too sure...but he is no where near over 20" long...I would have to do some research on that...or hopefully someone will chime in...

Soooo....getting carried away, someone get me off of PHOTOBUCKET!!!!

Smokin' a fattie with daddie... <HAHA

Here is the new tub setup that I made this morning...15 qt. soldered holes in the lid, around the sides....
Ofcourse this is missing the hides....new hides for both snakes, matching, they are drying outside...clear tupperware bowls, flat black paint...Krylon (Safepaint)

Enjoy!
Thanks,

Those tubs are awesome... I use the same for 3 out of 4 of my snakes and will likely use them for "soon to come" snakes as well. :D Whee!

Ya I was talking back and forth with Andrew...and he uses them, so does EmJagz...I do like them alot...the "plain jane" tubs seem to be hard to get the lids off once they are latched on good...you kinda have to hold the tub down, just to get the lid off...but I liked these....$4 a pop :)

Yeah, sometimes we get lucky and find them in a two pack for three or four dollars. The smaller ones anyone. The shoe box size ones work great for hatchlings. :D And yes, I've heard a lot of people say they use these tubs.

They're splendid.

I don't trust the sterilite tubs with the lids that click into place. A friend of mine had her snake escape by pushing up on the middle. The lids are flimsy to begin with, but just having a failed closing system makes them worse! :(

Looks great! I've got tubs like that too, but just a bit smaller I think... I need to get bigger ones!

Here is a pic of it with his new hides in there!
Followed by a butt-munching feeding pic, and an "after the meal lump" pic :D

One day my little guy will hopefully grow up, constrict, and eat 'em head first!!!
I even presented this one by the back of the neck with the hemostats....he struck at the head, and somehow turned it around to get that nice warm butt taste :p

Love the pics! I especially like the first one, with Crush checking out the thermostat.... Do you think Crush approves of his viv temps? :D hahaha

Ha! It totally looks like he's studyin' up on that huh?
Took me a minute to figure out my new dial setting with the tubs, but it's a nice 83 on the warm side to a 72-74 on the cool side...

I love tubs :D So much better looking I think...less room, more organized...

Walmart man...mine were $4 a piece. :D I'm sure Meijer, Kmart, Sears and places like that would carry them too...

Sterilite 15qt.

Snapped a few pics today...(I hate having to wait the 2 days after feeding Crush!! But I do...) because I was finally able to get him out again :D And I weighed him...a staggering 15 GRAMS!!! He has gained 3 grams or so since the regurge, so I am happy :)

The first is his little chart with which I keep track of growth, sheds, feedings, weight, etc. I just made it on a spreadsheet and printed a few off...easy to do, great way to keep track of things...

I had been trying to get a picture of him climbing around on my tattoos, and finally got one! The one to the left that you can hardly see means father...the main one if Sagittarius(sp?) and that is Lucy's astro-sign...I am Aquarius, and that's the blue water around her's.... :D

Nice sheet, Josh! I do mine on the PC. Which reminds me.... I forgot to put in some entries. :awcrap:

My fiance walked by with a glass of Crush and made a comment... "Hey, I'm drinking that guy's snake right now..." :p
