Curiosity Killed The Corn?

This is my new baby corn, Layla. She has been pretty shy since I brought her home but today she has been really curios about every little noise. Starting at about 7 tonight, every time i made a noise she poked her head out of the top of her coconut hide. It was so cute.

Hahaha usually mine run into their hides on the slightest thump in the house.
Pretty neat.

?? Snakes don't have ears! Hmmm.....! That's a super cute photo!

but they can feel sounds through vibrations, especailly really low pitched sounds. so technically they wont hear the thumps, but they will still be able to feel them, through vibrations.

I love it when they peek out! I've had some of these guys for eight years and I still think it's cute when I can see them peering at me from their hides. That coconut hide and your girl are adorable :)

I'm not an expert on snake physiology, (all I know I learned from the wikipedia snake page) but I think snakes only lack external ears; they still have some of the internal apparatus. ... but yeah, that means they are more sensitive to low-pitched sound and vibrations :)

Lol, that's cute.
My snakes usually watch us when we are watching a movie or playin
on my laptop. It's cute!
