Oh, that did it, Carol. I had SO much respect for you before this post. They just look like little pikas, who harvest diligently and save for the winters, who cares? Feed them to the wolves, for god's sake! ;)

I know, I know. I've turned into such a sap! I can't even remember the last time I froze or feed one off. I did have a still born the other day and one of my non feeders scarfed it down. I kept telling myself I need to stock pile these pinks in the freezer but nooooo, I always have some lame excuse not too. And you would not believe the cage I just bought for two of them. :headbang: My husband told me I'm spoiling the food. But he knows he is sucked in too. I find them more entertaining than T.V. sometimes.

HAHAHHAHAA sorry carol. I'm in the same boat as you. but thats why I let them all bite me at least once. After that i HATE them with a passion

awww, they sound nicer than my hamster, if my sister would let me i'm sure my male would love to make a snack out of him... :)

I find them more entertaining than T.V. sometimes.

ME TOO~! I love watching my mice, it's my new T.V., i spoil them rotten too, they have a big cage, a wheel, two little huts and get treats (enrichment) all the time.

I let them all bite me at least once. After that i HATE them with a passion
I know how you feel, i keep telling mine, one of you is going to have to bite me otherwise I'll be overwhelmed with mice!

Haha exactly John. I'm actually happy when they bite me. i make my rats bite be on feeding day for my boa. lol Makes it easier to stun them to me...but of the b/fs home he's got no problem doing it for me.

Out of approximately 11 hamsters, only one bites. Most of the others won't bite no matter what you do to them. They think everything is a game. He was also the only one that came from Petco, so we just right him off as the "Petco hamster" and figure he will never recover from the trauma of being a "Petco hamster".

Shoot, I'm still recovering from the trauma of being a Petco manager.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

Ahhh, poor Jazz! Did it turn you into a biter as well?

I'm still trying to figure out what my trauma is. Going back and reading the above thread I can't imagine how I thought this was a correct sentance, "so we just right him off". Uh, that would be write, Carol.

Uh, that would be "sentence", Carol. :sidestep:

See, I'm not a biter. I'm just passive/aggressive. :grin01:

Ugh. I really am hopeless. :dunce:

Well, I don't mean this in a bad way (because I chuckle when I see it), but I see you spell tongue as tounge. Many folks on here do, it seems.... :)
