These are my weaners I'm raising up, and I had to laugh at this when I walked by and had to go get the camera.

There's like 15 mice in one bowl..

Very cute! I have had baby rats do that too, just as cute. Too bad you cant just cuddle with them hehe. Not that you would want to because that would be just wrong lol. Playing with the prey...

oh, you can definetly cuddle with rats! Not that i cuddle with my rats or anything..... *ahhhem*

One of my rats had a hairless baby and he's taken quite a liking to one of my friends. The rat will snuggle up to his hand or crawl to his sholder and make himself comfy

I have a hairless rat too. She just seems to have more personality than the others. She always crawls right up my arm out of the cage and cuddles against my neck. The other rats I have don't seem as outgoing as she is. I handle them all the same, she just likes me more I guess. Anyway, that picture is just too cute!

Ever feel guilty when they look so cute ?
I keep rats as pets so would find it very hard to breed feeders. We just get frozen mice in.

Do I feel guilty? Sure. What rational person wouldn't.

I do keep the cutest ones back as future breeders, so they earn a year or so's stay of execution. Quite a few of those, if they keep up the good progress they've been showing, no sneezies and good weight gain, will go towards making new colonies. Quite a few of mine have pretty old individuals in there, and my numbers are slacking.

=)
