John go right ahead, I'd love to see them! I bought them as no known hets, so who knows? :shrugs: I saw these and immediately wanted to start perfecting the motley stripe in them. Project of mine I guess.

Very nice Taylor! I love Lavenders and motley just makes it better!

Thanks!

I also got this pair from Rich at Daytona. I couldn't believe how complete the stripe was on the male so I picked him up! And who could leave without a friend for him? :)

I'm not an expert but I bet if breed that fully striped motley lavender to a female stripe lavender or anything striped related without the motley you WILL produced more of those and better. I know because I have done it!

Maybe this is no secret to anyone/everyone and I'm the only late bloomer on the subject but I was 100% successful when I bred the following:

MALE- Anery Motley (full stripe) het ghost x FEMALE- Hypo Stripe het Ghost

The offspring were as follows (2007):
Anery Motleys (full stripe)
Anery Stripe
Hypo Motleys (full stripe)
Hypo Stripe
Normal Motleys (full stripe)
Stripes
Ghost Motley (full stripe)
Ghost Stripe

I have never tried a pair of these but from what I have heard is if you breed two fully striped motleys together you get regular motleys and maybe some motleys that are fully striped!

Ah... these pics actually brought a tear to my eye.....

I can see you still have a soft spot for your Lavenders, huh?

Thanks for the info. ;) I may just breed the male to a stripe I have.

Rich can correct me if I'm wrong but the reason that breeding a stripe to those gets good results is that mostly a motley with that much stripe are usually het stripe.

Your probably correct! I never had the chance at the time to find that out. I'm raising new stock after taking a two year break and I'm going after those projects. I have a male Amber Stripe het Amel that I plan to breed to a Ghost Motley het amel (Fully Striped) or (Pinstripe) which ever explanation is prefered. I like calling them pinstripes myself.

Here are the two:
