Deli cup liners.

I've tried many different things to line the bottoms of deli cups for hatchlings. Last year I found this Compass Cutter tool and it gave me a great idea. I sat down with several layers of news paper and cut out 4" circles that fit right in the bottom of an 8 oz. deli cup. I can cut out about 100 circles in about 5 minutes. You can adjust the size of the circle you're cutting out to be as big as 6" or as little as 1". News paper is a little thin so I usually use 2 or 3 layers. I found mine in a hobby shop and I've seen them in craft stores too. The link above is one I found online and I'm sure there are more sites selling them if you do a search. This worked great for me and I just wanted to pass it on.

why is it unneccesary? many people would like to have Deli cup liners and I think it is a great idea, or you could just buy them off a certin cite :wavey:

I really think this is a great idea for those of us who keep our hatchlings in deli cups!

I've used coffee filters that didn't quite fit the bottom of the deli cup. I've tried tearing paper towels to fit but that isn't very neat. I've never found anything that really fits the bottom of a 8oz deli cup as like it was made for it. Because the your custom made liner fits perfectly in the bottom of the deli cup your hatchling is always on top of the liner and not underneath where you can't see them. At least I've never had one get under the liner with this method. With this tool you can cut out the exact size you need and from almost anything you want. I've made them out of news paper and and paper towels but I find the news paper much easier to cut.

Alot of breeder's who mass breed corns find it alot cheaper to keep their hatchlings in deli cups NI GUY.I would too but i can't find them here.

This is where I get my deli cups Superior Enterprise. It looks like they ship internationally. I put all my hatchlings in sepparate deli cups until they're sold or get big enough to have their own container. Once they're big enough for thier own container they go into my hatchling cabinet.

I thought I would bring this one back up since it's that time of the year and everyone is starting to fill up their deli cups.

Thanks for bringing it back up. I'd not seen it before and it looks like an interesting idea. I'll hit the craft store later and see if I can't get myself one of those nifty little toys.

Thanks!
