How's that for a post title?
Couldn't think of a better way to put it.
Anyway, I'm using a digital indoor outdoor thermometer with a small probe on the end of a thin wire to measure temp on the warm side. The display unit is on the outside of the tank and the thin wire runs under the lid in the corner (not creating an escape route that I can see).
The wire hanging down is kind of an eyesore. I know not to use tape in the tank but how could I run the wire neatly down the corner of the tank and across the floor to where the probe needs to be?
I've heard of putting the whole thing in the tank but that's useless with mine since the display shows either indoor temp or outdoor and needs to be manually switched between the two.
I thought about going wireless but the one I saw at Radio Shack had a very large sensor that I didn't really like.
Any suggestions?
