Discussion: Should a snakes value determine how much info the breeder/seller gives?

I'm a VERY small breeder, with VERY specific goals. I can't afford to take chances like that with my investments. For me and my money, I would rather invest a bit more money at the outset for the definite hets, than risk LOSING the entire investment, because the hets. simply are not there...and I paid for them.
With the parameters you've outlined I fully agree with you. If you have the money and you are limited on space it is much better to go with a definite het than 2 possible hets. However, if space isn't a consideration and money is, I think the possible het allows you the possibility of the same end...especially with the more animals you buy.

My main point is that possible hets, although risky as they could be normals, are an opportunity to get the genes desired at less of a price than the 100 guaranteed versions. And because of that opportunity (usually 50-66%), I personally believe they deserve an increase in price over the normals and that increase in price depends on sex (females usually worth more) and availability of the morph (the more common the morph, the less possible hets are worth).

...Deal me in, I'm a gambler!

"You got to know when to hold 'em. Know when to fold 'em. Know when to walk away, and know when to run."

Geez...I haven't heard that song since I was a kid. But it is truly surprising just precisely how fitting it seems to be in this conversation...
