Im currently looking at plans to put my 2 07's into some new 36" tanks sometime in the new year. I want them to be on display, but also want to 'stack' them. So at the minute Im thinking of front opening perfecto tanks, and make some kind of 'bookshelf' construction that will hold a tank on each shelf. Has anyone on here made a similar thing? If not, can anyone post me pics of how they house there adult corns that they have on display. Post lots of pics please!!! :)
 
My husband and I just recently built part one of a three part shelf system. We used 2x4's but 1x4's would work just as well. Part one and three are the same. The shelves are 44" long by 22" wide. That will take a 36" critter tank or two 10 gallon tanks. First shelf is 4" off the floor, second self is 26" from the first, third is 24" from the second and the last shelf is 20" from the third. Top shelf is used for storage right now but in the future I'll have ivy plants on it to soften the shelving unit. the center unit has the bottom shelf the same as the end units, second shelf is 24" from the first and then the top shelf is just below the top shelf of the other units. This leaves me room for Aztec's tank which is a 35 gal high corner tank.

There is enough room on the botton to the shelves to put those small halagen spot lights that people put under cabinets. Set those to timers to replicate day light and you have a great display center.

Total length is 10' 4" and height is about 76".
 
Oh, total cost is about $170. We've used furniture grade 1/4" plywood for the shelves and a 8'x4' panel runs about $15-$17.
 
Not right now. We only have one section built. This weekend we will be doing the other two sections. When it's finished I take photos and post them for you. It's an easy unit to build.
 
If you're looking for pics, here is a cage I built for my hot snakes (cobras, rattlesnakes, etc) but it would work for adult corns as well. It is made out of melamine and some 2 X 4 supports. It is also on wheels so I can move it around my building. Enjoy.
