Thanks for all the comments everyone. Ditto has a great temperment...and is so active.....i will post updated pics soon :)

very cute snake, but how exaclty do you 'rescue' something from a pet store? Aren't you just giving them money to continue to keep more animals in sub-par conditions?

You can not "Rescue" an animal from a pet store. You would be better off to let it die in the store than buy it. I know it is unfortunate, but usually you are buying yourself a headache animal and the pet store will immediately order a replacement.

If everyone in the us could bring themselves to not buy from crappy pet stores eventually they would stop dealing in live animals.

PETCO: Where the pets die!!!

the Petco i went to was clean and nice, not all Petco are bad, it reallt depends on the management. I know there are some Petcos out there in bad shape. I say i rescued him because i hate to see animals in cages at pet stores, but hes home with me and happy as can be....

i got my first corn from petco and i have never had a problem with him. he is growing and eating like a pig

ps, he is also a snow!!! lol

Wow, PETA propaganda strikes again! I've seen my fair share of bad chain petstores, but I can easily say that the Petco I worked at and the Petsmart I am currently working at have beautiful, healthy animals. It was my personal responsibility to make sure of that.

So, in short, :wavey:

 Exactly.

Not all PetCo's are bad, I gladly give my money to a store that DOES have quality animals and educated staff and a nice enviornment. I purchased 2 corns from my local PetCo and infact I am applying to work (in the evenings) at a new one that is opening up 2 minutes from me :shrugs:

There ARE bad stores out there, just as there ARE bad PEOPLE out there, you don't go around blaming all people for the bad ones that are out there do you? :sobstory:
