Do I Suck at Measuring??

Hey everyone,
Just wondering a few things. I just fed my corn so I can't exactly take her out now to check, wondering if anyone had any thoughts:

About a week ago I measured her and she was roughly 17 inches, or so I thought. This morning she shed for the first time since I have had her, and after measuring the shed skin it came out to 19 - 20 inches.

Is it possible that she has grown that much since last week?

Or:

Is the skin that they shed stretched at all?

Or:

Maybe I just measured her really poorly last time :p haha, Which is possible because she's hard to keep straight. But I never would have guessed I could be THAT far off.

Thanks Guys!

Spencer.

The shed skin will stretch far longer than the actual length of the snake. A more accurate way to document the growth of a corn snake is to weigh is monthly or after each shed.
