Do you keep males and females in the same room?

Im just wondering. My male is being exceptionally crazy this spring and since he is in the same room as my females could that be causing his excessive nose rubbing? Im worried he is going to get sores if he doesnt stop, I can hear him across the room hitting the side of the tub and pushing his face into it.

BTW he is in the biggest tub I have because he is my most active corn. I also put in some climbing stuff to help with his agitation. He is still eating but Im worried about a regurge because he doesnt settle down for long after eating.

I know its hormones Im just more worried about nose rub.He seems fixated on pushing downward through the substrate. I was just wondering if having a female right below him would make a difference.
My other males are not acting quite as crazy as he is.Im tempted to let him breed my female this year, I was going to wait till next year because Im just not set up for babies just yet.

what kind of tub is he in? Any screen present or just plastic surfaces?

As a precaution, I'd pick up some bacitracin just in case he happens to start having some rostral scales become damaged.
