Doctor Bernard Bechtel original cage

By the way I new to this forum and like to keep corn snakes. I have 2 a male and female but I dont breed yet. Too young and live @ home.

That's pretty cool...I don't know that I'd pay that much for a single used cage that is that old! but to each his own!

I think I would just for the history behind it. That is worth more than the cage. It should go in a herp museum or something.

Does Mr. Bechtel still breed snakes or has he retired?

I'm not sure he's alive, he was looking pretty old in the old photo I saw. Kathy could let us know on that. As for the cages, they seem okay, but nowhere do they tell the materials, constuction, etc. And I doubt there is a market for Elvis' old cages; let alone Dr. Bechtel's, sadly.
