So I never had my corns sexed but named them anyway..yeah...not such a good idea. I looked at their vents/tail from a side view and my normal (Cornelius) has a pretty dramatic taper from the vent down. My ghost (Madam Mim) just slightly tapers down from the vent. Am I correct in assuming my norm is female and my ghost is male? If so, I've gotta think of some new names! :dunce:

Next time I get them out...and depending how cooperative they are ;)....I'll hafta snap some pics of 'em. The area behind the vents were so different on each of 'em I just kinda assumed it must mean something. Anyway...I'll try to post pics later today!

Having 2 to compare to each other helps in determining sex by looking at the tail taper. However, that method is not 100% guaranteed as there is always the exception to the rule.

Some of my snakes names are off  ! I named them before having them probed. Candice is a boy, Nagini is a boy, George is a girl, and Endymion is a girl. The others, as far as I know, are named correctly :p . I don't think it really matters if your name's are off. No one knows unless you tell them! lol

I didn't learn how to pop hatchlings til last year (Thank you Kathy Love!). Anyway, it appears my Chelsea (05) may be a Chauncey. I also might be wring about Katrina. They are registered with the ACR and when I know for sure, I will make any changes I need to make.

At least this year I KNOW my 2 keeper boys, Steve and Syko, are really boys!
