Downsizing My Collection.

Taste the Rainbow
Hello Everyone,

My life has been going through some crazy changes lately and I can no longer give my snakes the full attention they deserve. Between a growing family, new job, and needing to move soon there's just not enough time in the day. :(

It really saddens me, but I feel it's in their best interest if I downsized my collection to a more manageable number for me. Every one of them was hand reared by myself and fed regularly F/T mice their whole lives. They've been given the upmost of care possible. I originally bought them all in college with the intention of breeding them, so there's some great pairings in my group. Here's what I have:

YEAR + MORPH - HETS - POSSIBILY HET

Males:

'09 Caramel - het. Amel, Hypo - phet. Bloodred
Named Charlie. Has a scar on his back from a bad pinch.
From Kyle (ForkedTung) @ Buckeye River Reptiles

'10 Ghost Vanishing Stripe - 66% het. Amel, Dilute
Named Theo. From Susan @ Willis Wildlife Enterprises

'10 Hypo Vanishing Stripe - het. Lavender
Named Keagan. From a local breeder friend in PA

'10 Blizzard - het. Blood, Anery
Named Nanuq - From John (Zorro) @ Colorado Corns

'11 Charcoal - het. Blood, Amel, Pied
Named Rama. Loves to rattle his tail but he's all bark and no bite.
From Kyle (ForkedTung) @ Buckeye River Reptiles

'11 Low Pied Bloodred - het. Amel, Charcoal
Named Serkan. From Kyle (ForkedTung) @ Buckeye River Reptiles

Females:

'09 Butter - het. Hypo - may have Bloodred in there too
Named Aly. From Kyle (ForkedTung) @ Buckeye River Reptiles

'10 Lavender (Aztec/Jagged Pattern) - het. Hypo, Stripe
Named Kamalah. From a local breeder friend in PA

'10 Ghost - het. Amel - 50% het Motley
Named Alina. From Susan @ Willis Wildlife Enterprises

'11 Anery Motley - het. Dilute, Caramel, Hypo, Stripe
Named Miyako. From Susan @ Willis Wildlife Enterprises

'11 Fire (Some possible Pied speckles on her) - het. Charcoal, Pied
Named Onibi. Gets a little twitchy around feeding time, but is fine once she's out of her cage. From Kyle (ForkedTung) @ Buckeye River Reptiles.

'11 Classic - het. Blood, Charcoal, Amel, Pied
Named Zuri. From Kyle (ForkedTung) @ Buckeye River Reptiles.

There are some I have a strong feeling I can't let go, but I listed all my corns just to see if there's any interest in them. If they can go somewhere that's going to give them lots of love it would make me feel happier than being selfish for my own happiness.

I'm not a shipper, but if there's a local member on the forum that is I bet we can arrange something. I'll try to get some images up later after work.

I put up a thread in the Misc. discussion forum about looking for a local breeder who ships. I'm willing to make a deal if it means finding great homes for some of my snakes.

Here's an image of my fire, Onibi. It's a little out of date; she's much larger now. I'll try to grab some updated photos after work today.

Some older shots from roughly a year and a half ago of her:

Do you know you can use Ship Your Reptiles, and they will walk you through what to do?

So I've been thinking a lot about my snakes and decided I can't part with a few of them. They just mean so much to me and have a soft spot into heart.

I'm keeping :
Aly the butter.
Nanuq the blizzard.
Charlie the caramel.
Theo the vanishing ghost stripe.
Miyako the anery motley.

The following I'm still taking offers for:
Alina the ghost.
Kamalah the lavender Aztec/zigzag.
Keagan the hypo stripe.
Onibi the fire. (Possible local offer for)
Rama the charcoal.
Zuri the classic.
Serkan the pied blood.

Local pickup/delivery preferred. I've had one local member possibly offer to help me with shipping. If I'm able to I will definitely try long distance new homes over just local ones.

Stlll trying to figure out this whole shipping thing. At the moment they are for local pickup / delivery only.

I've been researching and found some rough ideas for prices. Again, this is for pickup only at the moment. I am willing to deliver as well but there would be a little extra charge to cover my gas if it is a bit aways from me.

Females:

Kamalah - Zigzag Lavender - $100
Alina - Ghost - $120
Oni - Fire - $200 (Have local person interested. Giving until Monday to hear back.)
Zuri - Classic - $120

Males:

Keagan - Hypo Vanishing Stripe - $120
Rama - Charcoal - $120
Serkan - Low Pied Blood - $150

I'd be willing to do a deal with someone if they are willing to take a pair as well. I know males tend to find homes a lot less than females.

If anyone local is interested please let me know. I live close to Disneyland.

Oni and Serkan have been claimed. Should be delivering them to their new happy homes tonight.

I will also be meeting up with someone who knows how to ship so hopefully I will be able to mail some soon.

Now shipping!

Oni and Serkan found their new homes last night. At least they are local so I can keep in touch better about them! :) Plus I got to meet a forum member who lives close by!

Anyways, he also showed me a thing or two about shipping, so now I feel confident with send my reptiles out to other states. Please let me know if you're interested.

I currently have members inquiring about Zuri, Alina, and Kamalah. Nothing for Rama or Keagan yet. Though I may not be able to part with Zuri.. she's been giving me the puppy dog eyes lately.

I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks for helping me with everything. This forum is awesome and I realize now how much I've missed it.

Ah, bummer about Nanuq the blizzard! He looks exactly like what I've been looking for. If you ever do decide to part with him, will you send me a PM? I'm looking to get my second snake/my sister's first snake and we're taking this year to search for the perfect adult or juvenile blizzard. I know your snakes are in good hands with you, but if you ever change your mind, I'd love to hear more about him! Between my sister and I, we have more time than we know what to do with :p
