Drawers?

I ran across this at a "deal site".
Wondering if they work for keeping snakes?

I'm not sure about posting a link, but if they can be used for snakes, I kinda hate not to post the info, as it seems to be a pretty good deal. ?

OfficeMax has these Iris Stacking Drawers on special with a Buy one Get one Free offer. Prices are in the $9 to $15 range depending on size. Free shipping on $50 orders.

I can't find them searching by Part #, so will include the link.

Without seeing them in person I can't tell if they are secure. I have seen similar things used as temporary storage at shows and such but never as a long term deal.

I have thought about getting some of these in the past, but kept coming up with a few issues.

1. Generally, they aren't big enough to house a very large corn.

2. Because of #1, the small corns can easily squeeze through the cracks that exist with the drawer. If the space is as much as 1/8", a young corn can escape. I have had a yearling get out of a similar crack.

3. They are hard to heat because of the back wall.

4. The drawer units ususally cost 2-4x as much as a similar sized Rubbermaid or Sterilite tub.

Could they work? Probably, but for me it wasn't worth the hassle.

Leave the post. Someone may be using them with great success and think that they are the best thing since bread was sliced.
