For sure, if that's the snake you have your heart set on, that's the snake you should have! My milksnake was my fourth snake, but my first planned purchase!
 
Thanks very much everyone! After some more research and deliberation, I've decided to go with a milk for my first snake. Won't be the last though, and there's definitely going to be a corn in there somewhere.
 
He's in the process of bringing his stock out of brumation, so probably June. Just in time for my birthday.:crazy02:
