hi

My friends corn had a clutch of 11 eggs, all good.
We incubated at a home made incubator made by polystyrene box, heat mad, bowl of water and a fan. the temperature varied between 27 C to 32 C.
One of the babies hatched at 1220am on the 24th (54th day) but the rest havent even slit the eggs.
They are now on day 56, she also layed a 2nd clutch 3-5 days ago, 11 eggs 5 slugs (dont remember exactly).

Any ideas or suggestions?

Some people told her that she should open the eggs her self in 1-2 days but i said that she should wait because its early.

thanks

Agree with MEE's post, not a fan of interfering with Nature. They'll come out when they are ready. Sounds like your one out of the egg is just an "early bird" :)

Couldn't agree more with the previous posters.

The one may have pipped early due to un-even temps in the incubator.
Perhaps that egg was 1-2 degrees warmer than the rest? Thàt would cause the egg to pip several days earlier than expected.
