He's adorable! I found that what finally got my girl eating after a long hiatus was to up her temps. I think they like it closer to 90 F (32 C - if I calculated right!)

Good luck,

Jo

Really? I have mine on a mat connected to the same thermostat as corns as all the reasearch I done insisted temps should be between 82-85... They usually stay about 84.

He was a great feeder before? I dont know why hes changed. But I will try putting him on a different mat! thanks :)

I can't remember where I read it. I think it was the kingsnake.com hognose forum. One guy there said he feels that they do better with higher temps and also some extra light. My girl's mat is on the same rheostat as my garters and she has a light on about 13 or 14 hours a day for now. She is on 04, in shed and ate a small mouse last night! I was shocked to see her weight is 165g! A true little piggy.

Heres a couple of pictures, he likes to put up a hiss fest during feeding time.

Mine does the same thing. He hisses so loud, I can hear him in the next room.
Kinda funny to watch him make false strikes at the little pink :grin01:
Has he shed yet, Elle? I really like the red that's starting to show

Looking good Elle.
Yep, lotsa hissing when mine eat. I think they eat mice because they hate them, not because they are hungry. :grin01:

If that little one refuses more, it might take a kickstart with a live feed to get him going again.

No shed yet, thats why im being nice about this situation and hoping hes just going into shed.

N Trev, I have tried him on live... and he refused that. I only left him with it 10 mins though because I felt so bad for taking the baby away from its mummy LOL And it looked cold! See... I do have a heart ;)

Hes away to a friends on thursday because im at college and Hes going to try and get him feeding. Hes dealt with fussy BP's so hes got a few tricks up his jumper ;)
