Hi all...

Just looking for some advice... I want to create the best suitable home for my corn, but i cant make up my mind on what to put in the enclosure, for the ground, was thinking just astroturf or a clean piece of carpet... but i have been told that saw dust can be used, newspaper, pebbles, and certain kinds of sand... i also do not want my snake to get mites, so does anyone have a good idea on what to actually get, including lights, heat pads, tempreture readers... just what would the bst set up for a corn snake be??

The best is aspen shavings. Sand, dirt, gravel are all very bad. Newspaper is ok, but they don't have anything to burrow in. Reptile carpet is ok, but hard to clean, and they burrow under it and are then hard to get out when you want them. So fluffy wood shavings that don't have oils in them are the best.
