Examine snake bags before shipping!

Crazy Alaskan
I know most people already know this, but I just had a very bad experience transporting my snakes into Canada (nothing to do with gettin across the boarder.) I packed all my snakes up like I would if shipping them since it was such a long drive. When I unpacked them at the hotel, one of the snakes was half way out of his bag, but not through the top. There must have been a small hole I didn't see on the side that he squeezed through, and he was very tightly stuck in there. He couldn't move forward or backwards. So after being musked and bitten numerous times, I was finally, and VERY easily and slowly, able to cut him out. It was a very scaring experience. The area he was stuck at roughed his scales up a bit and it was a little red for awhile. But I think he's going to be fine.

Geez, no kidding!! I just heard of another instance of this a couple weeks ago, but the snake only got her head and neck through, and was blue and swollen up to twice the size she should have been, and only had minutes to live. She had to be cut out of the bag it was so tight. She is okay, thankfully.
