does anyone here use one?
One tank I have (I think) repti-temp UTHs and a 500R running them. I have a seperate quarentine/hospital 90qt Sterilite bin with a herpstat running an 11in flexwatt tape. And 4 12qt sterilites in a rack also with flexwatt and a herbstat.
I have two Exo-Terra vivs. They are very secure, never had a corn escape from one.
the one i am getting is PT-2613. djfreebase, do you have ones exactly like this, with the locking, front opening doors? if so, one of my concerns was when my corn is an adult, will they be strong enough to pop open the doors at the top, since there is no lock up there? or are they secure enough for an adult corn?
I have two small exo-terra and a large one. One word of warning if you got a baby. They have accesory holes in the back that are meant to be able to run a probe or wires for a waterfall, or the like behind the fake background. MAKE SURE THESE HOLES ARE CLOSED IF YOU ARE NOT USING THEM!! I had a baby milksnake that managed to squeeze behind the fake rock, somehow squishing himself against the glass and the back of the wall climb up and escape out of one of those holes. He did it all within an hour and has never been found again. I had seen my rough scale sand boa do this before I got the milk, but he never went out one of those holes. I wouldn't have thought the milk could have gotten out that way, but there were no other ways it could have.
Other than that I love 'em. They make nice cages with the little front doors. Good luck!
I forgot to add that there are little slides where you can close them off. I didn't discover that until after I had the escape!
