Im sorry for your loss.
As others had said dont let this put you off the hobby and dont beat yourself up over it. Ive heard and read many horror stories from large chain bought corns.

If and when you do decide to get a new critter I highly recommend taking chip up on his offer. He is a stand up guy and has offered me sound advice before.

You might want to message Chip and take him up on his offer, I know he's got some fabulous animals. :)

Sorry for your other little one, I think you'll find that you will have a better experience when buying from a breeder.
 
I think something that will work well for you too, is go to the trading/buying-selling area and the wanted section - start a thread of what you're looking for exactly (morph, color, size, age, etc etc) and I think you'll get quite a bit of feedback.
 
Hannah, get a yearling or at least one that has been fed 15+ meals and it is unlikely that you will encounter this again.

FWIW, I am "Elrojo" at Blue Ridge Reef and Pet on that list. I changed my user name a while back. You can't go wrong with anyone here, just let folks know what you are looking for (age, mutation, gender, etc.), and someone will probably have it.
 
I would really love to come but your store is like 3 hours away from where I'm at, I'm really considering coming though because I really can't trust petsmart and other pet stores around her because of what happend

I am so sorry for your loss. Such a tough way to start off in snakes. I see Chip has made an offer already but I want to say the same thing. Chip is a great guy with great animals but if I can help you get a well started snake let me know. He is closer so if you are willing to drive then you could avoid shipping with me ;)
 
Hannah, Most people at petsmart are not trained properly. They are asked to do research on their own and usually don't.


Check out Carol Huddleston of low belly reptiles too. She is a GREAT breeder

Yeah but that will be changing soon since babies are hatching. I don't put anything available on my website until they are established eaters. If you know what you want send me a pm with what you are looking for and if I don't have it I will help you find a reputable breeder that does.
