high fat diet is simply down-right lethal. Another friend of mine now has to face with the consequence of a fat toxication.

As for slow growth rate... HA, just wait... this is a Boa.

Well, he's tiny now :). It'll be fun to watch him grow and record his progress. I just hope he'll continue to eat now that he's started!

Boas rarely have feeding issues once they start.
Some develop quirks... my Spiritus(R.I.P little guy) refused to eat when being watched- no. You had to leave it in his tank and stay clear for -at least- 30 minutes.
I swear, once I turned off the lights to watch him eat, you could see him checking the environment to make sure no one is watching him before he got down to it :)
 
Just weighed the little guy. He's a whopping 67 grams, empty :). Hard to believe that such a little bit of a snake will hopefully grow up to be around 5' or so long and dog knows how many pounds (5 or 6, perhaps?).

I'm thinking of naming him "Little Bit".
