Just wanted to make sure im on the right path when it comes to feeding.
The pet store where i bought my snake told me he was eating 2 pinkies every 7 days, i have read though that juvie snakes should be eating every 4-6 days. I have been feeding Ceasar 2 pinkies every 5 days he's eating them fine no problem just wanted to know am i over doing it, he's 4 months old.

I'd normally expect them to be eating 1 pinkie every 5 days, until the lump it left in the belly went down within 24-48 hours. Then it could be moved up to the next size. So I guess up to this point, yours has been eating twice as much as I'd have fed mine.

Hi bitsy
So what do you think should i cut down or is this fine cause really dont want to be over feeding him.
So far have had no problems feeding or digestion

Can you post a picture of the snake? Some people do feed their hatchling corns 2 pinkies every 5 days.

I've done that and never had trouble with any of the snakes. It all depends on the snake and what you feel is best.

Just watch for signs of trouble.

I agree with Bitsy increase the size of the mouse not the number of mice. Multiple mice can lead to regurge. If your snake is a juvenile it could be on fuzzies or 1.5 times the size of his belly area.

The rule of thumb is feed a meal 1 to 1.5 times the snake's widest diameter. People typically feed one pink, double pinks, peach fuzzy, small fuzzy, medium fuzzy, small hopper, and so on. If you search for Munson Plan you can see how the mouse sizes are classified by weight.

While you don't _have to_ feed double pinks in between single pinks and peach fuzzies, it's a nice intermediary step if you don't have a large range of pink sizes.

When I feed double pinks, I go from one largish pink to two smallish pinks, increase the size of the pinks for a couple feedings, and then go to peach fuzzies.

Feeding Ceasar

Here is a pix of ceasar in this pix he jus ate abut an hour before. So let me know if 2 pinkies is cool for his size.
