sorry if there is already a post up about this, but i notice that some people are unsure on feeding areas, the size of the food they are feeding their snakes and when.

could someone with experience of having a snake from baby to adult, post up what stages they fed
- pinkies (size/age/time between feeds)
- fuzzies (size/age/time between feeds)
and so on, it would help me soon too as at the moment im only on fuzzies with my corn, and wouldnt mind knowing what stage is next, and when

any advice posted will be much appreciated and im sure that wont be from just me

I usually go with "if there is no lump in my snakes belly they need bigger/more food"

i go double there belly size

The "rule" is actually a prey item that is as wide as 1 1/2 times the width of the snake at it's widest point. But hatchlings can take a larger meal, but why risk a regurge of a meal that is a little too big.

And for those that don't want to search through all those pages to actually find the plan and not just a mention of the plan, here it is:

The Munson Plan (Sample Feeding Chart):
-When they're on single pinks (2-3g), I feed every 5-6 days. (Snake = 4-15g)
-Double pinks (3g x 2) every 5-6 days. (Snake = 16-23g)
-Small fuzzies (5-7g) every 6-7 days. (Snake = 24-30g)
-Regular fuzzies (7-9g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 30-50g)
-Hoppers (9-12g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 51-90g)
-Weaned (14-20g) every 7 days (Snake = 91-170g)
-Adult (20-30g) every 7-x days (Snake = 170+) See below.

Note: Adult females are fed more frequently than adult males (especially following brumation). Adult females are fed every 7-12 days; adult males are fed every 11-14 days.
This is by no means scientific, and not all corns will cooperate 100% with the schedule. The weight ranges I gave for the prey and snakes are approximate.
