Does anyone know where a good place to find a feeding chart online is? I need to print out a new one b.c my current one is almost full. Im not sure if this is the right section or not. Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you looking for a chart to track feeding? If so, you can track online at iHerp, or it is easy to create an Excel spreadsheet to track feeding, sheds, etc. I created my own sheet and have tracked since the day my snakes came home. I would be happy to share if you like.

If you don't have excel, you might not be able to see the doc. If you want to download libre office (thank you Cornsnakeforsale!), I will download as well and move it into that format.

Hi, Mary. I just sent you an e-mail with the feeding chart template that I use. I included a screen shot in case you can't open the attachment. Let me know if you have any questions.

If you have an iPhone (I think it works on Droid too), you can get the SnakeKeeper app. I use it to track feedings/shedding/weights/breedings etc. I can also have it set an alarm to notify me who needs to eat on a particular day.

I just downloaded the app. It looks very cool. Not sure if I'll actually transition to it since it looks more time consuming than my paper chart. I am going to try it though to see if I like it better.

For me, it takes very little time to quickly add in a shed/feed/weight. The only time consuming part for me was adding in the initial data - photo, birthdate, hets, and transferring the info I had saved onto Excel before I got the app. I ended up only going two months back for old data just to establish pattern and save me some time. Now it's just a quick click on the snake and entering in the info I need. I love it, but I do send the data I have on it to my email once a month just to make sure I have backup copies saved on my desktop. That way if I sell an animal, I can print out the records I have from the app too.

I really do like this app. I entered all of Bella's info this morning. I got her last July, so I entered all records from the day I brought her home. I like the photo feature. Later today I'll enter all Jasper's info. I'll probably print out weekly for my log book, because my son comes over when I'm not home and he always checks the log before he handles a snake. It doesn't take long to enter each record, so it shouldn't take long to maintain. Thank you for sharing this info.

Take a look at Reptile Scan, too. I haven't quite figured out what the "many extra features" in the paid version could be, but the free version works just fine. I envision going to the vet someday and being able to pull up a snake's records on my iphone, in case I don't have a print-out with me.

I _loved_ Degei, but without a Mac version available, I've decided to convert. I am looking forward to making QR codes for everyone, too! I just need to find non-stick labels, or something.

Reptile Scan looks like it has a lot of very useful features, particularly for a breeder. It also seems to be a work in progress, although the developers have added features along the way. Here is a link to one of several reviews on this app http://reptilescan.dk/faq.html

I haven't dowloaded the free version, but the $24.99 one would probably be great for breeders or those that show at expos.

Mary, can you let us know what online version you decided to use? Others may also prefer a printout rather than an app.

The free version is pretty nice. My complaints are- too many steps to add a feeding- it should default to the last item fed. And you should be able to edit the list of feeders, or at least deselect the ones you don't use.

I have a small 5 x 4" notebook that I initially record feedings in, often planned out for several months in a row, with lists of the groups of snakes. When I feed, I record the weight and any shed info, then transfer it into the database later.
