i just got my corn snake about a week and a half ago. he is about a month and a half old and the previous owner feed him pre killed frozen baby pinkies. just last night i tried to feed him alive pinky and he did not eat it. Why is he not eating? is it because he is used to frozen? how long will it take him to get used to alive pinkies?
 
Feeding live isn't really advisable in the long term. It's OK at this age, but once the mice are large enough, they can inflict serious wounds on a snake the size of the Corn.

I'd suggest you try him with defrosted, as that's what he's used to.
 
Feeding live can be dangerous for your baby.....maybe not so much with a pinky, but the bigger the mouse the more it'll "fight" back possibly causing serious danger to the snake. Feeding F/T is really no sweat. It is quick and easy!
 
The live mouse might be strange to him. Try frozen/defrosted. If he doesn't take it, wait another week. He might just be stressed since he's new.
 
If it ain't broke...

If the snake is already eating frozen/thawed, keep it that way, and count yourself lucky!
