She is 9ft or around that length now. She doesn't look it, but we measured her at the vet's.

She is a sweetheart and does reptile education (we always handle her head). She was smaller in this photo and has grown some.

Gorgeous! I want a lavender retic SO badly, but know I can't handle a giant quite yet. :(
 
They are a handful. Having just one of these is like having 10 snakes in terms of feeding, housing and upkeep. I don't really recommend them unless you are a glutton for punishment.

Thank you for confirming my decision... LOL. ;) Maybe one day, if I have a larger home and large husband/boyfriend to help - but until then I'll stick with the smaller species!

They really aren't as bad (temperamentally) as a lot of people will tell you, although some can be. If you raise them from babies like this one and handle them religiously, you should be fine, but they are just huge snakes and you should never feel 100% safe around them when they reach large sizes.
