Finally got daughter's corn

Well, we picked up our 11 yo daughter's christmas present on Friday. Looked forever before finally finding one I liked. Ended up getting a VERY tame and healthy sub/adult corn. Viv is up and running perfectly and he seems like a happy guy. Had him out tonite watching tv on the bed and he happily cruised around and in and out of the blankets. lol.

He measures roughly 4 feet and had just shed, so his colors are awesome.

Help me out a little on the ID though. From searching the pics on the site, he has pewter coloring and okeetee markings. Is there such a thing? I will post a pic or two after Christmas when my daughter can be involved.

Maybe anery (missing red) with Oketee borders? Never seen one, must be gorgeous! Can't wait to see the pics!

Where you got him from might help to rule out certain morphs. For instance, I wouldn't think MOST pet stores would have pewters available. But...they could have always gotten one that a customer brought in, which occasionally happens at my local store or recieved one or two in a wholesale lot.
More specific color description of the background and saddles might be helpful. My only guess right now would be an anery. Silverish background with brownish-black saddles. But the center of the saddles can fade with age and tend to give it thick "borders". I think most pewters would tend to have an all-over silverish look with reduced patterning including borders (maybe because of diffusion due to the bloodred influence? :shrugs: ). The links below will sort of demonstrate what I mean. Of course, pics would be great whenever you can get them. I'm sure there are other possibilities. This is just my best guess as I ramble on at 3 in the morn. :)

Pewter - The pics of adults with eggs on the left are the best examples.

Yeah, I kind of doubt a pet store would be selling an Adult pewter. As far as the okeetee, it's very possible. Since you bought an adult, did they tell you if was was male/female, and if it was proven? You might have gotten a really good deal.

Here are the pics

I may have been off on the color after getting him out in incandescent lighting for the pics. Pics are pretty close to true color. He actually came from a local reptile dealer, not a pet store. His shop was immaculately clean and all the animals were properly housed and looked to be well cared for. I haven't been real impressed with the snakes I have found at the pet store.

Anyway..... Here are the pics.

Miami-ish normal? I am not the morph queen by any means lol
It is lovely though, congrats :)

PS Looks like Mike may have competition in the hairly arms pics:grin01: :sidestep:

I like those colors! It does sort of look like a normal. I don't think pewters really have some of the colors that that one shows. Normals can have a wide range of variation in their colors so that's my guess. It still has a really cool look to it!

Successful Feed

Well, he had his first feed tonite and took a F/T adult mouse. He had only been fed live previously. Layed the mouse on him and he poked around and found the head and down it went. He did "rattle" at me while I was putting the top back on his viv though, which was pretty funny. His tail was right against an inverted plastic bowl we are using for a cool side hide, so it was pretty loud. lol.
