Here's some pictures from Stewie's latest (long waited - as some of you know) shed!
He seems to be having some missing pieces that i think i saw them in his tank.. Ill remove them later on tonight but i was so excited i wanted to post these pics first

And the last pic is Stewie's new viv i got.. does the set-up look ok? (I know, i didnt put the aspen in yet.. but i bought this 2 weeks ago and i had to put it all together to save up time and wait till he sheds)

Is it ok if i changed him to his new viv tonight?
Would that affect him in any way since he just shed?

Its ok.. newbie or not.. id like to know everyone's opinion
I think i shouldnt have a problem either..

Yeah he does have great colors... I am really liking him even more every day.
Now that ill have an empty viv... im thinking.. time for another corn? hahaha

Thank you though.

What a beautiful boy! It still amazes me to see the transformation their colors go through during and after a shed... no matter how many times I see it!

I think he should be good to go in his new home. he shouldn't have any problems at all. :)

haha i know exactly what you mean.. thats the whole reason i posted his pic before the shed... i cant believe the colors they change!!!

Thank god, CW! I thought you might worry yourself to death. :grin01:

He looks great post-shed, but I have to admit, I'm a sucker for a nice shot of a blue snake with eyes at full opacity-- and normals seem to make the best subjects for these shots. If you don't mind, I may have to use that first shot of Stewie as my new pc wallpaper. It rocks.

I agree with Catherine. Maybe give him two or three days in his new digs, then feed him.

We need a shot of CW. Now she rocks!!!!

Anyway, Good for you Cursed Witch. I know you been worrying.
I would log the date of the shed for next time and increase the humidity. Also think about why he isn't shedding regularly?? Not feeding proper size and/or something else. :shrugs: I don't know, just throwing thoughts out.
But I am jealous, you got a nice lookin' snake there. :)

Aww Lenny!!!
You've seen a shot of me
I always log the date... last one was sep 30 2006... after that he went on his hunger strike and within the 3 months he only had 2 feedings in a row which were the last 2 right before he went into blue.. so i think he is back to eating so he should start shedding more regularely...
I dont think i had a problem with him before about him not shedding.. this was the worst so far... but hey.. he made it through... with you and the other wonderful people's help in here.

Dont be jealous.. im always jealous of all of your snakes and mostly, cause you all have more than one!
Stewie is my first and im learning with him.. i will get more one day.

Once again. thanks for posting,
nice to see you again

What an absolutely stunning snake :)

Oh Janine!
Thank you so much
I am so happy to hear from the BIG guys in here saying my little Stewie is stunning!!!
I think all of the snakes in here are stunning.. and i love them all...
I just love snakes...

Big? Nope. am 5'2" and all of 55kgs! I'm hoping my 'okeetee' will get colours as bright as Stewie. At the moment my normal hatchling and christmas hypo are the brightest of my lot, and Stewie shows just how great a 'normal' corn can be.

Haha not big in size.. i meant big in reputation/experience/knowledge on this site. I dont know what i would do without you guys!

I hope they do... they all do at a certain age.
Yes Stewie shows that, normal or any other morph.. a corn is still a corn and a beautiful snake that is.
I chose him for his colors and i never knew he would end up having such beautiful colors as he grows up.

thank you again.
hey.. im only 5' 4"

wait!! how come they are illegal?
and other morphs arent?

arent i supposed to wash all the items i got with chlorine solution?
how do i make that since i got no ready made one..

and do i need to wash the tank first?
sorry too many questions...

Chlorine solution is use as an disinfected. If you have new items and a tanks just use soap. How to make a solution?? I use roughly 1/4 cup of bleach to a gallon of water. Rinse out very well and let dry until the fumes are all gone.
But I now use a product call Nolvasan solution. Costly but it the best thing going right now. No smell and dose the job. I got mine at a local feed store.
Yes, clean the tank first. for drying time.

And only "red eyes" are allowed in New Jersey.
