used pine for the face frames and carcass... sliding glass for the doors.

hopefully the little snake will out grow her small cage so we can put her in the bottom.

That is a good question. I see the bottom one has a UTH but it isn't under the tank. It is out in the open under the plastic container.

Id like to know. I know some use flexwatt. Im saving up to build a larger (77"x48"15) version of this, my house is too cold for flexwatt and I dont know how to heat this.
