Yeah, I know a lot of other people are getting babies HATCHING already! But I tend to run my cycle later then others, I guess. Actually I'm somewhat ahead of schedule compared to last year. First eggs weren't laid until May 4th or so.

But the first clutch looks promising as a harbinger for the year. 17 out of 17 good eggs. Came from a Blizzard bred by my GoldDust.

This time next month I'll be wishing it would end....... :sobstory:
 
Well done yay...that means we're only 9 weeks off this years gorgeous little hatchling shots from you!
 
I guess I'm the odd man out this year, no eggs yet. I've actually started doing a later cycle too, mostly because all of the shows around here are in Feb or Oct. I'm hoping to cut my feeding bill back a bit this way.
The majority of my females are in post breeding blue right now.
 
I'm really pleased about my eggs in the incubator but my gravid amel is taking her sweet time getting around to shedding...I figured she'd be high blue by now but there's no sign. She looks like she swallowed a salami though!
 
I'm breeding my snakes a lot later this season. All of the shows I'm planning vending at are later in the season. So I dont even have eggs yet. Although most of my females have bred.........

Got too more clutches on Monday. LOTS of females going blue or doing the pre-laying shed right now. Things are going to be getting busy pretty shortly setting up the egg incubating containers.

Still a few females being coy about breeding. Guess they are just waiting for "Mr. Right", to come along. Unfortunately these are "arranged" marriages, so they really don't have any other suitors to pick from. Guess maybe I'm going to have to start adding some vodka to the water to loosen them up a bit. :rolleyes:

Charcoal/Caramel, eh? Looks like you're going full steam ahead at those icebergs, too. :eek:

Hah! This is much easier and more fun to do if you just stop worrying about analyzing the results. My target is to produce pretty and/or interesting looking animals. Other people can try to figure out what they actually are. :rolleyes:

So, in effect, I will just bounce off of those icebergs in my little rubber dinghy and head in another direction.

First generation is going to be a breeze. The next step is going to be the harder one. Working with the Ultra line is going to require more forethought and planning then many people realize. Hindsight is going to be a real bite in the butt when they realize what they should have done from the start.

Hah! I say "they". I've had Ultras around here since 1995. Imagine where I would be with them now if I had realized what they actually were? I almost sold off all of them several times, but just never got around to it.
