first ever clutch, proud mom

wildcat

South african right here
ok so I've been trying to hatch a clutch of eggs for about two years now, but here in S.A our national electricity is currently rather unrealiable... Which means halfway though incubation the power is cut for 6 hours or so... generally at night (for convenience), which is really inconveniant since Im asleep AND it's colder.
But here are the pic's.
I figure they are normals, but their colors are so different from the parents... does this change after their first shed?

Mom and dad are at the bottom. Dad is the one with the mice. sorry if its a bit graphic, he only eats f/t now, but then we didn't know any better ;)

Congratulations! The colour will change after the first shed, with more reds and oranges generally appearing in normals over time.

Congratulations!

Yes they normally start off very dark and get lighter over time. The first year or so the color changes a bit. They will more than likely look like the parents over time.

Congrats on the clutch! Mom and Dad are good looking snakes, I bet the babies will be great. :)

congrats!!

I feel so... late!!!! CLUTCHES IN FEBUARY!?!?!!?!?!? i feel like i should have bred two weeks ago!

congtrats on your cute babies! You absolutely must keep one so you can be awed by how much they change color as they grow up!

Cute babies! Beautiful parents. My little Attitude the hateling is quite dark & is only now getting some yellows so I think this is probably normal for baby classic corns.

@ wildcat - Get yourself a UPS (Uninteruptable Power Supply). That will kick in when Eskom punishes us. Thank goodness I live in Durbs', I don't even use an incubator for my Corn Snake eggs.

Ciao
