First of a few new additions - Hal: Hypo lavender

Tula_Montage

It's Jager time!
Hal is my first new corn addition in a LONG time, and the first of a few more to come (watch this space). Hes a very light specimen, with tonnes of background colour and a weird pattern. I love him!

Hes a serpenco 05 believe it or not, weighing in at a measly 57 grams. But I brought him home today and he ate two large fuzzies as soon as I offered which I'm pleased about. Lets hope he starts to get bigger than my 06's soon!

Picture taken by previous owner, I'll upload my own pictures tomorrow.

What a pretty boy!! Tell him not to feel badly- he's twice the size of Lila- same age.

Elle: I look forward to seeing YOUR pics. :) My hypo-lav male is named Hal too.

Really?! The lass I bought him from had him named Lal after a tattoo artist. But I prefer Hal :p Sorry!

Ill upload my pictures tomorrow when I get a chance...

Don't be sorry. There's room enough in the world for two hypo-lav Hals. :)

Here's a pic of my Hal when he was about the same size as your Hal. He still looks good now, but he's nowhere near as colorful as he was then. :(

Hes beautiful Dean. I promise not to name any future lav bloods Vlad :p

Hal is VERY light, which im excited about. I can't wait to see how he will look as an adult :crazy02:

I also have a sneaky feeling he may be het motley. Look at the first 5/6 saddles and stripes on his neck. Heres hoping!

Thanks guys, I just wish he was bigger... oh well I'll do my best with him. Hes such a mean little corn, which I love :p

Got some great striking pictures and he bit my camera a few times LOL

He must have been on one of those pesky 'maintenance schedules'

He was imported as an 05 in 06. And the lass I had him from has some animals from the same shipment which are a bit bigger. I dunno... seeing him scoff 2 large fuzzies after 2 hours in the car and being passed about at the exotic animals society meeting a few hours earlier, I don't understand why hes so small... Hes certainly not a bad feeder LOL. Hes probably just a small male... we shall see.

Could be stunted from the american big breeders feeding plan? feeding once every 3 weeks or so as a baby? know people that have had the same problem with imports.
Im curious to see what these new additions are elle, must be good to sell your beloved pastel royal, I shall wait patiently :grin01:

I told you he was nice, Elle! My female is from the same shipment as you know and she's grown like a weed, I've no doubt he'll follow suit when he's good and ready!

See you Friday, we will be waiting at your door to coo at the newbies :grin01:

I'm sure he will! Was surprised he ate today :p

You can bring over Belle and pick up those weaner rats at the same time ;)

Hes lighter in real life than the picture shows..... he was never on a maintenance feeding schedule when with me. He was the smallest of the lot that came in, and was a picky feeder at first, but the last couple months hes been fine.
I like Hal for his name also... and I too suspect theres other genes in him.... time will tell :)

Hes got a great feeding reponse, theres no doubt about that. He will be on 2/3 fuzzies every 5 days for the first month until he can take small mice.

I think I caught his true colour in my pictures but ill have to upload them when I find my cable LOL

Heres my pictures, snapped at SEAS where I picked him up from.

Next to an 05 lav blood female from the same shipment.
