First Pippies

Talk about late in the year...I finally have my first pippies. The first one out is striking and vibrating it's tail already. Hope that's an indication that they will be quick starters/feeders. They are Satchie X caramel diffused...look pretty much Satchie so far but they aren't all out yet.

Cool!,......we want pics soon, or it didn't happen!.. :roflmao:

I would think they would lighten up with some caramel color as they mature too.

I'll see what I can do...I have to say that my previous attempts at pictures have been pretty abysmal...but guess try, try again. So far, out of 20 eggs 10 have slits...and the others look great.

Good deal!........the others will probably be pipping by tomorrow or so then.

OK! 20 eggs and 20 babies. All of them look good so far. I haven't done any serious kink checks yet but didn't see anything obvious so for now I'll just wait until I try feeding them before I worry too much. Will try for a photo shoot today or tomorrow.

That's always a nice start to have 20 hatchlings out of 20 eggs!

Best of luck with them being healthy and feeding voluntarily after they shed.

So...I have some decent photos (based on my ability) but still need to make them smaller...will post when I get them edited.

Also, my second clutch is pipping and I have a very interestingly colored baby...perhaps a diffused anery? I knew that the male was h/ph for anery...have a great photo of this litte guy.

Photo post as soon as I figure out how to resize them.

Second clutch fully hatched 17 out of 18 (the 18th egg looked normal but no developement in it at all. Will try pictures next.

Pippies Photos

The first photo is from the original clutch. Caramel Bloodred X Kisatchie
The second photo is from my second clutch Striped Bloodred X Pewter
The third photo is of a baby from the second that is a surprize morph.
I knew that the Striped blood was ph/h for anery, but it looks like the mom
is too. Let me know if you think this is an anery blood. Sorry the photo of the blood red baby is so poor, but at least you get the gist.
Thanks

Yes, the funny lack of head pattern and the diffused sides on that anery are very typical of diffused anery's displaying the bloodred gene. Looks like your other adult was indeed het for anerythrism as well.
