I released the first official version. It has been tested on Win 2000, XP and ME. On Win98 we discovered some problems but it should be able to run there as well.

Wow. I mean... WOW. This is so great. Thanks so much for not just making it, but sharing it with us! *thumbs up*

but, uh... "herpman.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program". I use Win2k, btw. (Should there not be an install?)

Edit: Is the .ini file supposed to say thing? lol

(highestscore made me LOL)

No, there is no need for an install. When you unzip it make sure it is in a folder on your harddrive. For example c:\Herpman. After you unzip it there you should have the exe file and two sub folders called 'Data' and 'Help'. And there should be a Midas.dll. If you have all these it should work just fine.

And yes, the ini file is for keeping track of your score in the game. ;)

WORKS! Well it loads, anyway. I'll play around with it in a bit and check for glitches, but it works so far! And might I add, NICE JOB! I'm totally impressed, dude. :hatsoff:

Great program....but I have tried to open the .exe file twice and it still tells me that I have an error in the midas.dll file. Any ideas as to what is 'going wrong '.

I am working with Windows 98...could that be the problem.

Thanks for you help

I am affraid so. I don't have W98 myself so I can't debug the problem.

I am sorry.

Excellent program Marcel..............I keep meticulous records on the 'collection', this will make the task more enjoyable!

Just wanted to let you know that I downloaded the program and started using it late last night, and it was wonderful. Very upfront and will make keeping track of my collection very easy and possibly enjoyably.

Good job and Thanks.

is there a name for the game in the entertainment tab and what is the highest possible score? I'm at 428.

Try adding midaslib to your user clauses.

Another option would be to try to remove Midas.dll and re-register it.

Whats the exact error your getting? Is it at startup?

Sweet Program!!!!!!!!

thanks Marcel
this is much better then what i had been using and the game rules as well
o and i love how i can add pics of my snakes

It is a great program. Sure wish it would open on my computer at home. Sigh. Still haven't figured out a way to get it to run. It's a fun program to play with, but I doubt my boss would appreciate me filling in all of my snake info at work. ;)

Nice Job, Marcel. I'm sure a lot of people will get much use out of it.
